InterContinental Seoul COEX
Through Jan. 31: With a growing number of people seeking private holidays at hotels instead of going on overseas vacations, InterContinental Seoul COEX in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul, announced its plan to launch a new project called “Monthly InterContinental,” where a new "hotelcation" package is introduced every month throughout 2021. “Monthly InterContinental” is a fun project designed to offer various new products for customers in their 20s and 30s who frequently enjoy hotelcations. Information on new monthly package promotions can be found through the hotel’s e-newsletters and KakaoTalk Plus for those who have added the hotel as a Kakao friend.
The first monthly hotelcation product, which was introduced in January, is a package called “Three-day Resolution” where guests get one extra night when purchasing a one-night stay. They can then enjoy relaxing for three days and two nights while making plans for the year. The package comes with two Resolution Support Kits including a planner and a pen, two Megabox movie tickets and a 20-percent rate reduction voucher for In Spa, located on the second floor of the hotel. Breakfasts are available at a 30-percent reduced fee, and guests can use the hotel fitness club and swimming pool with no extra charge. This package is offered at 280,000 won ($255) including tax and service charges for three days and two nights during weekdays. While this package can only be purchased during January, guests can redeem this offer until the end of March.
“According to a recent survey, seven out of 10 people in their 20s and 30s enjoy hotelcation at least once every two months. Hotels have now become holiday destinations that replace overseas trips and they are also new playgrounds and work-from-home sites now,” said the package product manager of InterContinental Seoul COEX who came up with the monthly subscription-based package plan. “As millennials frequently go for hotelcations, it is believed that there are demands for new and entertaining hotel experiences and that is why we decided to introduce this Monthly InterContinental project,” the manager added.
