BTS releases two short 'Concept Clip' teasers before 'Butter'
A short preview of BTS’s upcoming single “Butter” was released on their label Big Hit Music’s official social media accounts including YouTube on Tuesday.
Titled “Concept Clip,” short clips for members Jungkook and RM were released Tuesday. In one, Jungkook runs around freely and spreads a heart-shaped pat of butter on a slice of bread. In RM's video, he marches around and fires a party popper on an illuminated set.
The clips were filmed using camcorders and a variety of illuminated lights and projectors to give off a dreamlike atmosphere.
Butter and party poppers also popped up in the teaser poster released on Sunday, hinting that they will be major objects in the upcoming single. Other objects such as balloons, cameras and candies also appeared in the poster.
“Butter” is BTS’s second fully English song, after their hit “Dynamite” (2020), which will be simultaneously released worldwide at 1 p.m. on May 21.
Big Hit Music described “Butter” as a “funky summer song” based on dance pop in which the fans will be able to feel “BTS’s charisma and their softer side in a fun and rhythmical atmosphere.”
The trailer video featuring the logo for the song, released on April 27, recorded more than 14 million views even though all the video showed was the heart-shaped pat of butter melting for an hour.
