Actor Park Bo-young donated 100,000 masks to the Gyeongbuk Fire Service Headquarters in North Gyeongsang through Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association, according to her agency BH Entertainment on Friday.

“Park wanted to express her gratitude to the firefighters and paramedics battling fires in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic and the summer heat,” the agency said. “Park personally bought the masks from the brand she is currently promoting and donated them.”

Last year, the actor donated 50 million won ($44,000) to Community Chest of Korea to help people in need such as senior citizens and medical staff, and 30 million won to Good Neighbors to help young girls from low-income households.

The actor is currently filming for upcoming movie “Concrete Utopia” with actors Lee Byung-hun and Park Seo-jun. The disaster-thriller film revolves around the few survivors who gather in an apartment complex after a massive earthquake demolishes Seoul.
