Singer AleXa gave a special lecture for the students at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on Jan. 10.  
 
According to her agency ZB Label, AleXa met with MIT students virtually and talked about the metaverse and the K-pop industry under the theme “K-pop on the Global Stage.” 
 
The label said she talked about her experiences as a K-pop artist and her thoughts on virtual platforms. The lecture followed with an active Q&A session, the label added.  
 
On Nov. 21, AleXa held a fan meet in the metaverse. Her avatar communicated with fans online through the multiplayer shooting game “Scavengers.” The avatar of AleXa also performed during the fan meet. It was the first metaverse fan meet by a K-pop artist.  
 
AleXa has been promoting her latest single “Tattoo,” which dropped on Jan. 6. It immediately attracted global fans and ranked high on multiple charts across the globe including on iTunes.  
 
The singer debuted in 2019 after gaining popularity by appearing on Soompi's audition program "Rising Legends" in 2016 and on Mnet's "Produce 48" in 2018. Her first digital single “Bomb” grabbed the attention of younger generations across the globe for its AI in a multi-universe concept.
