More celebrities have tested positive for Covid-19 such as television personality Jeon Hyun-moo, Gaga and Rihey from dance crew CocaNButter and Lee Seo-yeon of fromis_9.
According to MBC, Jeon and comedian Yang Se-hyung have canceled plans to film for the variety show “Omniscient Interfering View.”
Jeon currently has the virus, and while Yang tested positive recently as well, he has fully recovered and his quarantine is finished. Nevertheless, Yang will not partake in filming this week as a preemptive measure.
Jeon is focusing on recovery.
Jeon started his career as a news anchor on YTN and KBS in the 2000s. He became popular after becoming a host for variety shows like MBC’s “I Live Alone” (2013-) and JTBC’s “Non-Summit” (2014-17).
Yang debuted in 2003 as a comedian under SBS. He rose to fame on comedy shows like tvN’s “Comedy Big League” (2011-) and MBC’s “Infinite Challenge” (2005-18). His younger brother Yang Se-chan is also a popular comedian.
Gaga and Rihey tested positive on Thursday, their agency MLD Entertainment confirmed on Friday.
“Both Gaga and Rihey have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine,” the agency said in a statement. “They have canceled all upcoming plans and are quarantining for treatment.”
CocaNButter is an all-female dance crew with members Rihey, ZSun, Gaga, Bicki, Jillin and Beebi. The crew became popular after competing on Mnet’s hit dance show “Street Woman Fighter” (2021).
Lee’s agency Pledis Entertainment confirmed that she has the virus on Friday.
Currently, she does not have other symptoms beside a tickly throat and minor dizziness.
The other eight members tested negative on Thursday via a rapid antigen test. They are in quarantine and have taken additional PCR tests and are waiting for the results.
All of fromis_9’s upcoming plans, including its performance on KBS’s “Music Bank” (1998-) on Friday have been canceled.
