An original song from the soundtrack of BTS-inspired web novel and webtoon "7Fates: Chakho" is seeing global success after its release on music streaming platforms Friday.

“Stay Alive” topped the iTunes' Top Song charts in some 100 regions as of Monday.

Recording 4,273,772 streams on the first day of its release on Spotify, “Stay Alive” landed at No. 3 on the platform’s Global Top 200 chart.

The song came in first on Japanese Oricon’s Digital Single Ranking chart on Friday as well.

It also topped local music streaming platforms, placing within the top three songs on Melon, Bugs and Genie Music.

“Stay Alive” is sung by Jungkook and was produced by Suga.

Inspired by the chakho-gapsa, or tiger hunters, of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), "7Fates: Chakho" is an urban fantasy web novel set in the near future featuring protagonists inspired by BTS members. Naver Webtoon collaborated with HYBE to publish the narrative from Jan. 15.

The web novel and webtoon is published every Saturday and is being serviced in 10 different languages.

The webtoon initially received mixed reviews due to its lack of connection with the band although it was being promoted as a BTS-inspired story. However, the web novel and webtoon surpassed a total of 15 million views merely within two days of their release, HYBE reported in January.
