Minhyun of boy band NU’EST tested positive for Covid-19, his label Pledis Entertainment announced Wednesday.

According to the label, “Minhyun was experiencing a slight fever and a sore throat so he conducted a self-test kit at home, which turned out negative. But just to make sure, he went to get a PCR and the result came out positive this morning.”

Pledis said Minhyun has no other symptoms than a sore throat and mild fever. He did not come in contact with any other members of NU’EST.

“We will reorganize Minhyun’s schedule so that he can rest and be treated at home. We’ll make an update about his status again and about when he can resume his activities,” Pledis added.

NU’EST is gearing up to drop its final album “Needle & Bubble” — a compilation of the band’s best songs — on March 15, a day after the band’s official disbandment. Pledis Entertainment announced last week that the boy band will disband after releasing the special album as its contracts with the band members come to an end on March 14. March 15 is also the 10th anniversary of the band’s debut.
