Actor Jun Ji-hyun donates 100 million won to victims of fire along east coast

Actor Jun Ji-hyun donated 100 million won ($81,448) for the victims of fires raging across Uljin, North Gyeongsang and Samcheok, Gangwon, according to the Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief Thursday.
Jun previously donated 100 million won to help those impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.
Other celebrities such as Son Ye-jin, Hyun Bin, Kim Woo-bin, Shin Min-a, Kim Hye-soo, Song Kang-ho, Lee Byung-hun, Lee Je-hoon, Park Min-young, Lee Jong-seok, Yu Jae-seok, and IU have all made donations to help victims of the fires.
The association said that the donations will be used to construct temporary residences for those who have been displaced.
The fire began Friday morning in Uljin County, North Gyeongsang. Sweeping across 3,300 hectares of land, according to Korea Forest Service, the fire spread northward to Samcheok, a city in Gangwon Province. The fires are burning for the seventh day in a row.
