JYP Entertainment’s rookie girl group Nmixx received the first-time silver certification plaque from Hanteo Chart, Korea’s album sales tracker, for selling 227,399 copies of its debut EP “Ad Mare” during the first week of its release.

The sales tracker gives out first-time plaques to artists who exceed a certain number of album sales during the first week of their release. Nmixx received the silver plaque for surpassing 200,000 units sold of its debut EP.

“Due to the love that Nswer [the name of Nmixx’s fandom] sent us, we were able to reach the record of selling 227,399 copies of our debut EP,” Nmixx said. “We will always do our best to live up to the love and support you gave us.”

The group is reported to have recorded the highest debut EP sales by a K-pop girl group, JYP Entertainment said.

The group is currently active with the lead track from the album “O.O.” The music video for the song marked over 20 million views on the first day of its release. Currently, it has been streamed more than 50 million times.

The group debuted on Feb. 22 with the EP “Ad Mare.”

Nmixx is composed of seven members — Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Jinni, Bae, Jiwoo and Kyujin. Apart from Lily, who is Korean-Australian, all members are Korean.

Nmixx is pronounced "N mix." The letter "N" means now, new, next and an unknown variable, while “mixx” symbolizes a combination of all the different meanings of “N” to create a new unified result.
