Singer, actor Seo In-guk tests positive for Covid-19

Singer and actor Seo In-guk tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday.

Seo’s label Story J Company announced Wednesday that he received a positive PCR result Wednesday morning and is being treated at home.

“Seo has received three shots of a vaccine and he has no symptoms. He’ll have to reschedule the shooting for the drama series ‘Minamdang,’” said the label in a statement. The label said Seo took the PCR test after getting a positive result in a self-test kit he had to do prior to shooting the KBS series.

Seo is playing a lead role in the investigative comedy drama. His character Nam Han-joon used to be a charismatic profiler, but is now a mudang, or shaman. The drama is based on a popular web novel on Kakao Page that attracted some 150,000 readers.

Seo debuted as a singer after winning the first season of “Superstar K” in 2009 and released his debut EP “Calling.” His acting career began with hit drama series “Reply 1997” (2012).
