Boy band Enhypen was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) for the Japanese EP "Dimension: Senkou" (2022), its agency Belift Lab said Friday.

The band sold more than 500,000 copies in May.

The RIAJ certifies music based on sales including hard copy purchases and online downloads. Singles, EPs or albums earn gold certification for more than 100,000 copies sold, platinum for 250,000, double platinum for 500,000 and triple platinum for 750,000. Over 1 million copies sold earns a million certification.

According to Belift Lab, it is the band's first double platinum record from the RIAJ.

"Dimension: Senkou" was also No. 1 on Japan's Oricon chart for the week of May 16.

Enhypen debuted in 2020 as the finalists of Mnet’s music survival television program “I-Land” (2020). The band consists of seven members: Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo and Ni-ki. It debuted with the EP “Border: Day One” and has released songs such as “Given-Taken” (2020), “Drunk-Dazed” (2021) and “Tamed-Dashed” (2021).
