Girl group Apink will launch its first subunit called ChoBom, according to IST Entertainment on Monday.
The subunit, consisting of members Park Cho-rong and Yoon Bo-mi, comes 11 years after Apink debuted in 2011.
IST Entertainment revealed that ChoBom will release its first music in July.
“Apink has had one-time combinations of members for some tracks or concert performances, but this is its first time forming an official subunit to release an actual album” the agency added.
Apink debuted in 2011 and is best known for hits “My My” (2011), “Mr. Chu” (2014) and “Dumhdurum” (2020). The girl group currently consists of five members: Park Cho-rong, Yoon Bo-mi, Jeong Eun-ji, Kim Nam-joo and Oh Ha-young. Former member Son Na-eun left the group in April.
