Girl group KARA in talks about new content to mark 15th anniversary
Members of the second-generation girl group KARA are in talks to get together for a special event to mark their 15th anniversary.
According to the local broadcaster JTBC, members of KARA gathered to discuss new content on Monday. They discussed an array of possible events, including the release of a digital single.
KARA had wanted to do something on its anniversary on June 11 to thank its fans. While no new content was released on this day, the members uploaded pictures of themselves on their Instagram accounts.
Member Gyuri's post reads: "To celebrate our 15th anniversary, the members got together. It was the first time that all the people who had worked under the team name KARA celebrated, talked and cried. We were able to comfort each other's hearts and gained hope that we could be happier." The post tagged all six members, including late member Hara who passed away in 2019.
Kara debuted in 2007 and released hit songs such as "Honey" (2008), "Mr." (2009), "STEP" (2011) and "Pandora" (2012). Its current group members are Gyuri, Seungyeon, Nicole, Jiyoung and Youngji. The group's last EP "In Love" with the lead track "Cupid" was released in 2015.
