Boy band T1419 will leave for Mexico on Tuesday to begin its activities in Latin America, its agency MLD Entertainment said Monday.

According to MLD Entertainment, the group will start its promotional activities in Mexico City and tour Latin American nations. The group recently dropped its Spanish-lyric song “When the sun goes down” on Sunday.

T1419 will appear on major television channels in Mexico, conduct interviews with local media and hold street performances.

The boy band of nine — Korean members Noa, Sian, Kevin, Gunwoo and On, and Japanese members Leo, Zero, Kairi and Kio — debuted in January 2021 with the song “Asurabalbalta” and has released songs “Exit” (2021), “Flex” (2021) and “Red Light, Green Light” (2021).

The band became the first K-pop act to be invited to Latin America’s prestigious Monitor Music Awards last October and won an AAA Potential Award at the 2021 Asia Artist Awards last December.
