Yena, a former IZ*ONE member, will hold a showcase right after dropping her second EP “Smartphone” at 6 p.m. today. The showcase with her fans begins at 7 p.m. at the Yes 24 Live Hall in Gwangjin District, eastern Seoul.

Prior to the EP’s release, Yena met with local reporters and said that her latest EP, which comes seven months after her debut EP, is an “upgraded version” of herself and added that it will be candy to the fans’ ears..

The title track “Smartphone” has an energetic drum beat and a strong electronic bass. Yena said she hopes to sympathize with many people who are living in an era where “smartphones have become an important daily necessity and a best friend.”

The EP is composed of five songs. They are “Smartphone,” “Make U Smile,” “WithOrWithOut,” “Lemon-Aid” and “U.”

Yena debuted in 2018 through IZ*ONE, a group comprised of 12 winners of Mnet’s hit audition program “Produce 48.” IZ*ONE disbanded in April last year when the members' contracts concluded. She made a solo debut in January.
