Blackpink on Aug. 19 will pre-release its single “Pink Venom,” the girl group’s agency YG Entertainment said Monday.

On Aug. 19 at 1 p.m., Blackpink will drop “Pink Venom” and the song’s music video via YouTube and music streaming platforms. The single will be part of Blackpink’s full-length album set to be released in September.

“The combination of Blackpink’s symbol color and the word ‘venom’ creates a striking imagery,” said YG Entertainment.

YG revealed on Aug. 1 that Blackpink’s pre-release songs would come out in August, the full album in September and a world tour in October.

Blackpink’s last music was its full-length album “The Album,” which was released in October 2020.

Blackpink debuted in 2016 with its first single “Square One” and has released hit tracks including “Playing with Fire” (2016), “Forever Young” (2018) and “Lovesick Girls” (2020). The group consists of four members: Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa.
