Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas

Through Oct. 15: Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul, is introducing the event-oriented casual pop-up pub Parnas Garden on the outside of the ground floor of the hotel under the theme of “Urban Garden with Music.”

The pub is an exotic space that feels like an oasis away from hectic urban life and offers a unique experience that includes live music sessions run three times a day. Open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., the pub presents beer, wine and special snacks brought by the hotel chefs.

As expected for a casual pub, the most iconic items on the menu are suitable for both light meals and snacks for drinking, such as fried chicken and pizza frequently paired with beer. The hotel’s signature handmade sausage instantly cooked on the spot, oven-cooked chicken drum sticks called Crispy Chicken, prosciutto pizza topped with prosciutto made from Korean pork, and assorted charcuterie are all available at reasonable prices that range from 20,000 won ($14) to 30,000 won.

During the pop-up restaurant period, busking sessions will be held three times a day. Young musicians who sing with live guitar or piano performance provide busking for 40 minutes per session, three times a day at 7 p.m., 8 p.m., and 9 p.m.

“We have created an exotic space in the middle of busy and crowded downtown to offer lively and exciting music, tasty food, and chilled beer that will blow away daily fatigue,” said the head of the Food and Beverage Department in charge of this Parnas Garden event. “We hope this space can be a healing opportunity for office workers around Samseong-dong and those who want to fully enjoy a vacation away from daily life."

Part of the revenue from Parnas Garden will be donated to those in need.
