Rapper Mad Clown's agency reveals he divorced last year
Rapper Mad Clown, also known by his alias Mommy Son, divorced his wife last year, his agency Sameside Company said Friday.
“Last year, Mad Clown and his non-celebrity wife finished the divorce process by mutual agreement. His ex-wife has custody of his son.”
The agency did not state a reason for the divorce.
Mad Clown, whose given name is Cho Dong-rim, debuted in 2008 with the EP “Luv Sickeness.” His breakthrough was the duet song with singer Soyou, previously a member of disbanded girl group Sistar. His hit songs include “Sour Grapes” (2015), “Lost Without You” (2017), “Butterfly” (2018) and “I Miss You” (2021).
Mommy Son is a persona of the rapper that he adopted in 2018, when he appeared on the seventh season of Mnet’s rap competition show “Show Me The Money.” He wears a pink ski mask to conceal his face entirely.
He reportedly tied the knot in 2016 and the former couple has one child together.
