K-pop girl group Kep1er named in two categories on 'Year on TikTok 2022' list

Girl group Kep1er was selected as the fourth most popular TikTok artist and the 10th artist with the most new followers on the service on Thursday.

TikTok released its "Next on TikTok 2022" list Thursday, and Kep1er was named in two categories on the "Year on TikTok 2022" section.

The "TikTok Popular Artist" category selects artists with the most views that year, and the "Artist with Most New Followers" category names artists with the highest number of new followers gained that year. Kep1er was the only K-pop girl group that debuted this year to be named in the two categories.

Kep1er has been actively using TikTok with its global fans ever since its debut. Their official account exceeded 1 million followers even before their debut, and the combined views of challenge videos from their debut song "WA DA DA" exceeded 780 million views as of Dec. 7.
