The Korean military is conducting on-site safety control ahead of BTS member Jin’s enlistment today.

“We plan to operate a comprehensive situation room in consultation with local governments and related organizations for field safety control,” said Kim Jin-tae, the army’s public relations director, at a regular briefing at the Ministry of National Defense on Monday. “We will make every effort to prevent safety accidents, such as having ambulances ready in case of emergency.”

Regarding the time Jin would arrive at the boot camp, Kim explained that the check-in deadline for those enlisting is 2 p.m., but that it would be hard to predict exactly when Jin would arrive.

Jin will undergo a five-week training program at a division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi, and later be assigned to a local unit, according to reports and Jin’s agency Bit Hit Music.

Big Hit Music has stressed multiple times that fans and media personnel should refrain from going to the site of the boot camp Tuesday.
