Nmixx will release its EP “expérgo” on March 20, announced the girl group's agency JYP Entertainment on Friday.

“expérgo,” the Latin word for "awaken," shows how the girl group will “awake the minds of K-pop fans around the world,” said the agency.

The EP's motion-poster teaser released on Friday shows a metal-shaped heart, slowly being covered with flowers blooming as the heart pulses, with the words “Nmixx brought rain to the desert called ‘reality’” written below the animation.

Nmixx's previous releases, “Ad Mare” (2022) and “Entwurf” (2022) received mixed reviews due to their eccentric lyrics and song structures. However, both saw commercial success, with “Ad Mare” selling over 220,000 copies in the first week after its release, a record for a debuting K-pop girl group at the time.

The group’s first reality show, “Mixxplore” will also air this Friday on its official YouTube channel and will revolve around the members’ first trip in the winter.

Nmixx debuted in February last year as a seven-member girl group with Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jinni, Jiwoo and Kyujin. The agency announced the departure of one member, Jinni, in December 2022 due to “personal reasons.”
