BTS's music video 'Life Goes On' surpasses 500 million views

Boy band BTS's music video for "Life Goes On" (2020) surpassed 500 million views on YouTube Saturday afternoon, making it the band's 16th music video to hit the mark.

"Life Goes On" was released in November 2020 as a soothing R&B with a consoling message that life goes on despite hardships, as regulations tightened due to the pandemic around the world.

The band was set to embark on a world tour that year, but it was canceled due to Covid-19.

"Life Goes On" topped Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart and became the first Korean-based song to top the global chart for not only BTS but for any K-pop group.

BTS has 39 YouTube videos with over 100 million views, including its hit dance tracks "Boy With Luv" (2019) and "Dynamite" (2020), each with 1.6 billion views, "DNA" (2017) with 1.5 billion views and "MIC Drop" (2017) with 1.4 billion views, as of Sunday.
