In celebration of the 10th anniversary of boy band BTS's debut, Eland Group will showcase performance outfits worn by the members to the public, from its collection that it acquired from an auction.

The outfits were donned by BTS during their performance of "Dynamite" at the 63rd Grammy Awards, a feat that made them the first Koreans to perform at the world's top music awards ceremony.

Starting from Tuesday and running until June 25, visitors can enjoy free admission to view these outfits in the lobby of the Kensington Hotel in Yeouido, western Seoul. The hotel is operated by the apparel and retail group.

Having spent the past three decades amassing a collection of 500,000 items encompassing various cultural, film, and sports artifacts, Eland currently holds jewels from the British royal family, a guitar autographed by The Beatles, Michael Jackson's iconic "Billie Jean" performance jacket, and basketball shoes worn by Michael Jordan. The group obtained the seven outfits of the BTS members through a charity auction in the United States in January 2022.

The retail group pursues the vision of Chairman Park Sung-su to establish a themed area that involves cultural spaces, accommodations, and an amusement park, catering to both local and international visitors.

“Although specific details such as the location and timeline are yet to be confirmed, we aim to bring this future business project to life on a 300,000-pyeong [991,700 square meters] site in Aewol on Jeju Island around 2025,” an Eland spokesperson told the Korea JoongAng Daily on Monday.

Eland exhibits over 160 artifacts related to the Olympics at the Kensington Hotel in PyeongChang, Gangwon.

This collection includes Olympic figure skating champion Kim Yu-na's skates and a swimming cap worn by American swimmer Michael Phelps during an Olympic competition. The presence of these Olympic artifacts played a significant role in successfully securing the bid to host the International Olympic Committee Session in 2018, surpassing globally recognized hotel chains, according to the group.

Commencing with the BTS's costumes in celebration of the K-pop megaband's anniversary, Eland said it will gradually unveil more of its collections.
