Woodz to go on 'OO-LI and' world tour, perform in U.S., Japan
Singer-songwriter Woodz will hold an encore world tour starting with two performances in Seoul, his agency EDAM Entertainment said Monday.
Woodz, whose real name is Cho Seung-youn, will hold Seoul concerts on Oct. 28 and 29 and then travel to Japan to perform in Osaka, Nagoya and Yokohama. Performances in Taipei, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, New York and Bangkok will follow in November and December.
The tour is titled "OO-LI and" as a throwback to his previous and first world tour "OO-LI" he started last May. Oo-li in Korean means we or us.
More performances will be added, according to the poster released Monday.
"I am so happy to be able to relive the joy I felt through my first tour this year," Woodz said in a press release. "I can't wait to meet with Moodz and make happy memories together."
Moodz is the name of the singer's official fan club.
Sales for the upcoming concert will take place on Sept. 19 for members of the fan club, and general sales will take place on Sept. 21.
Woodz first debuted in 2014 as a member of boy band UNIQ under Yue Hua Entertainment. In 2018, he launched his solo career as Woodz.
In 2019, he appeared on the Mnet audition show "Produce X 101," the fourth season of the popular "Produce" franchise. He was one of the 11 finalists who debuted as boy band X1 in 2019. After X1 disbanded in early 2020, he returned to UNIQ and his solo career as Woodz.
