“Red Velvet is currently in preparation for the group’s third full-length album, aiming for a November release,” its agency SM Entertainment told the Korea JoongAng Daily on Monday.
The upcoming third full-length album will be the group’s first album release in a year, following the EP “The ReVe Festival 2022 – Birthday” and the first full-length album in almost six years since the release of “Perfect Velvet” in 2017.
Red Velvet debuted as a quartet — Irene, Seulgi, Wendy and Joy — in 2014 with its first single, “Happiness.” Yeri was added to the group before the group’s first EP, “Ice Cream Cake,” which dropped in March 2015. The group is known for many addictive hit tracks, from “Red Flavor” (2017) to “Power Up” (2018), “Feel My Rhythm” (2022) and more.
The group held its fourth concert, “R to V,” at KSPO Dome in southern Seoul, followed by performances in Singapore, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, France, Germany and the Netherlands, ending with a concert in London in June.
