Korean shooting duo Lee Won-ho and Kim Bo-mi clinch bronze at Hangzhou Asian Games

Lee Won-ho and Kim Bo-mi took bronze in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team bronze medal match at the Hangzhou Asian Games on Saturday, extending Korea’s dominance in the sport.
Lee and Kim faced Morikawa Seiji and Yamada Satoko of Japan at Fuyang Yinhu Sports Center in Hangzhou, China and managed 16 points, while the Japanese duo scored 8.
In the 10-meter air pistol mixed team bronze match, two teams shoot alternately and the team that scores higher earns two points, while both teams receive one point each when the scores are tied.
The Korean duo dominated from the start and took the score to 7-3. They continued to extend the score gap and did not allow their opponents to turn things around throughout the contest, sealing their 16-8 victory to win bronze.
That bronze was Lee’s second medal at this year’s Asiad, having taken silver in the men’s 10-meter air pistol final on Thursday. For Kim, it was her first-ever Asiad medal.
The bronze was Korea’s 14th medal in shooting at the Asian Games — two bronze, four silver and eight bronze so far.
This year’s medal count has already surpassed the 2018 haul, when Korea earned 12 medals in total.
The shooting schedule will wrap on Sunday.
