Jung Kwan Jang makes trade show debut at SupplySide West

Korea Ginseng Corporation (KGC), the red ginseng company known for its Jung Kwan Jang brand, participated as an exhibitor in SupplySide West 2023, the largest trade show for healthy foods and ingredients held in North America.

SupplySide West is a gathering of health and nutrition industry professionals, aimed at connecting suppliers and buyers. It was held in Las Vegas, Nevada from Wednesday to Thursday. Around 1,400 businesses and 18,000 visitors joined the event this year.

It was the first time a Jung Kwang Jang booth was set up at the trade show. A variety of red ginseng goods and standardized red ginseng ingredients were exhibited, including red ginseng concentrate, red ginseng concentrate powder, and red ginseng powder.

Jung Kwan Jang, domestically known for its red ginseng extract pouches, exports around 250 products to more than 40 countries worldwide. KGC established a research and development center in California in March, and efforts are being made to develop locally customized products that contain ingredients and generate health effects preferred by the American health functional foods market, according to a KGC press release.

“Through our participation in the fair, we have confirmed the growth potential of red ginseng in the global health functional food market,” said a KGC employee.

“We will continue to promote the excellence of red ginseng, a competitive health functional food ingredient, and will regularly create opportunities to show off Jung Kwang Jang’s products to the world,” the employee added.
