Singer-songwriter Chang Ki-ha is having a special performance in collaboration with the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA), the museum said Thursday.

Chang will sing three songs alongside artwork at the MMCA’s Chang Ucchin (1917-1990) retrospective, which will be livestreamed on the MMCA’s YouTube channel on Friday at 4 p.m.

The exhibition is currently being held at the museum’s Deoksu Palace branch in Jung District, central Seoul. Titled “The Most Honest Confession,” it showcases 270 works that encompass the late modern painter's artistic world.

“I’m honored to be able to perform with the beloved artist Chang Ucchin’s retrospective as my stage,” singer Chang was quoted as saying by the museum in a press release. “I was intrigued to learn by the curator that even though his works were based mostly on magpies and trees, he ceaselessly worked to add changes to his works. I think Chang Ucchin’s simple and free attitude is similar to my own philosophy on life, so it was easy to relate to him.”
