Stray Kids completed its “5-Star Dome Tour,” performing in five different dome around Japan and Korea.
Kicking off with a two-day performance at the Fukuoka PayPay Dome in Fukuoka on Aug. 16 and 17, the boy band held two concerts each at the Vantelin Dome in Nagoya, Kyocera Dome in Osaka and Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, ending with performances at Japan’s largest indoor stadium, Tokyo Dome last Saturday and Sunday.
While there are no clear distinctions between the different ‘generations’ of K-pop, fourth-generation K-pop bands typically refer to those that debuted in 2019 and later, such as boy bands Seventeen, Tomorrow X Together, Enhypen, BoyNextDoor and others.
Holding solo concerts in domes is considered an impressive feat and a significant achievement among K-pop artists, as performances held at domes, which can hold more than 30,000 concertgoers at once, are considered an indicator of the band’s popularity.
“We are honored to dance and sing in front of so many people,” Lee Know said.
“It feels like we keep getting gifts from our fans, and as we are returning with a new album very soon, we want to repay the love and support [with our upcoming album],” said Bangchan.
Stray Kids will drop a new EP "樂-STAR" (also stylized as 'Rock-Star') on Nov. 10.
