The second set of performers for the 38th Golden Disc Awards, announced Monday, included girl groups IVE and Le Sserafim, boy bands Tomorrow X Together and BoyNextDoor, rock band YB, vocal group La Poem and singer Parc Jae-jung.
Fifty Fifty's Keena will also attend the award ceremony but will not perform on stage, the organizers said Monday.
Both IVE and Le Sserafim will be performing at the Golden Disc Awards for two years in a row. IVE won Rookie of the Year and Digital Song of the Year at the 37th Golden Disc Awards — the only artist to win both in the same year — and Le Sserafim also took home Rookie of the Year together the same year.
IVE and Le Sserafim have both been nominated for Digital Song of the Year and Album of the Year at the 38th Golden Disc Awards.
Tomorrow X Together will be returning to the Golden Disc Awards after releasing two albums — "The Name Chapter: Temptation" and "The Name Chapter: Freefall" this year. Both albums saw great success, with "Temptation" and "Freefall" landing No. 1 and No. 3 on Billboard 200, respectively. Tomorrow X Together has been nominated for the Album of the Year award.
Parc Jae-jung and BoyNextDoor will be joining the Golden Disc Awards for the first time. "Let's Say Goodbye," lead track from Parc's full-length album "Alone," became a nationwide hit, followed by many cover performances from other artists.
BoyNextDoor, having debuted as KOZ Entertainment's first boy band, also managed to grab the attention of K-pop fans with their easy-listening and catchy tracks.
Parc has been nominated for Digital Song of the Year, while BoyNextDoor for Rookie of the Year.
Rock band YB and vocal group La Poem will also join this year's Golden Disc Awards, each for a special stage. YB will collaborate with a K-pop idol group for the performance, according to the organizers.
The Golden Disc Awards, which the JoongAng Group hosts, are considered one of Korea's most prestigious music awards.
They have a unique format where dozens of nominees and multiple winners are chosen for three main categories — music, album and rookie of the year.
Twenty artists have been nominated for Album of the Year and Digital Song of the Year, and 10 artists have been nominated for Rookie Artist of the Year.
The first set of performers for the 38th Golden Disc Awards, announced Dec. 5, featured girl groups NewJeans and STAYC, alongside boy bands Seventeen, Stray Kids, Enhypen and ZeroBaseOne.
