Minue, whose real name is No Min-woo, will release his new single "Scream" on Thursday, his new music in three years and two months after the release of single "I Don't Want to Live Without You," which was released in November 2020, under his band The Midnight Romance.
Minue debuted as a drummer in the band TraxX under SM Entertainment in 2004. The band was formerly named The Trax but later changed the name to TraxX in 2018.
The new song will solidify Minue's identity as a musician, DJ and producer with a unique vibe that uses all the best of classical harmony and electronic sounds, according to Warner Music Korea.
"We signed an exclusive contract with Minue, and we plan to fully support him in all his activities moving forward," the agency said in a press release on Friday.
Minue began his solo career with the release of his first EP "Story of Wine" in 2009. He made an appearance on MBC's singing competition show "King of Mask Singer" (2015–) with his rendition of BTS's "Fake Love" (2018).
As an actor, Minue made appearances in dramas "Pasta" (2010), "My Girlfriend is a Gumiho" (2010), "Partners for Justice 2" (2019) and movie "The Admiral: Roaring Currents" (2014). He sang a song for the soundtrack of "Partners for Justice 2" (2019).
After being discharged from the military in 2018, he became the lead singer and the leader of the newly formed band The Midnight Romance in 2020.
