Super Junior-D&E members Donghae and Eunhyuk said they “participated from A to Z” in the production of the duo’s fifth EP “606,” which drops at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
“We put a lot of care into this album because we considered it to be a fresh start, in a way,” the duo said in a press release through their agency, Ode Entertainment, on Tuesday.
“We were very happy and excited the whole time while preparing this album, especially since it’s been so long since our last release,” they said.
“606” is the duo’s first music release in over two and a half years since they last dropped their first full-length album, “Countdown,” in November 2021.
The EP consists of six songs including the lead track “GGB” and “Rose,” which dropped on March 19 as a prerelease track. Super Junior-D&E said the EP used the motif of the sun and moon, which their fans often use to symbolize the duo.
“We wanted to showcase Super Junior D&E’s day and night and our identity and colors [as artists] in the album,” they said.
Donghae asked fans to look forward to the track “Hang Over!,” a song he says wishes to perform on stage while showing off the duo’s chemistry. Eunhyuk recommended “Missing Pieces,” a song he says is in the style of songs that he frequently listens to nowadays.
In the end, the duo is excited to share new songs with their fans and looks forward to “making music and spending time with fans through different ways like concerts.”
“We have prepared a lot this year. This is just the start,” they said. “[The EP] is a gift to fans who have waited for new music from Super Junior-D&E for a long time.”
