President Yoon Suk Yeol's approval rating rebounded after six weeks to 37.3 percent, a poll showed Monday, amid core supporters rallying behind Yoon ahead of the general election.
The latest rating is a 1 percentage-point increase compared to a week ago, when a negative assessment of Yoon's performance caused a decline by 1.2 percentage points to 59.5 percent, according to a poll conducted by Realmeter commissioned by the Energy Economy News Daily.
The slight rise is attributed to strengthening unity among supporters of Yoon and other factors stemming from the general election, such as early voting, the pollster explained.
The survey was conducted from Monday to Friday and has a confidence level of 95 percent with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.1 percentage points.
