The Corea Image Communication Institute (CICI) announced Tuesday that it is hosting a contest that aims to elevate Korea’s image, starting Monday.

Under the theme “New Korea,” the contest is split into two categories and asks applicants to submit ideas or AI-generated images that propose a fresh perspective on Korea that “isn’t cliché.” The contest runs until June 10.

The first category requires a PowerPoint of PDF file that demonstrates the “potential of Korea in one or two years that will fascinate the world.” An image or video of 60 seconds or less that represents your idea must be entered as well.

For the second category, an AI-generated image must be entered that is “so elaborate and colorful to the point that it’s unbelievable that a machine created it.” The image can be about any field, including food, movie, travel, performance, music, fashion, beauty or lifestyle, that promotes Korea.

Applicants have the option to enter in just one or both categories, and they can use any type of AI program.

Any Korean or foreigner residing in Korea and over the age of 18 is eligible to enter.

The top three winners in each category will be revealed at the annual 15th Culture Communication Forum (CCF) on June 24.

Visit the CICI website for more details, available in English.
