Comedy trio Psick Univ has donated goods to Yeongyang County, North Gyeongsang to help the region recover from flood damages, two months after dissing the neighborhood in a video.

Comedians Lee Yong-ju, Jung Jae-hyung and Kim Min-su donated 50 million won ($36,200) worth of goods to the county upon hearing news of heavy rain from the Yeongyang County Office, Psick Univ's management agency Meta Comedy said in a press release on Wednesday.

The goods included refrigerators, washing machines, fans, rice cookers, televisions and more.

"'Psick Univ' hoped to be of help by making a donation to the people of Yeongyang, who must have been disheartened by the sudden heavy rain," according to the comedy trio’s management agency, Meta Comedy.

"We are very grateful for the contribution of goods, as it is currently impossible [for us] to receive cash," said the Yeongyang County Office. "Once again, we deeply appreciate the concern and attention regarding the recent damage."

Psick Univ was previously came under fire in May after the trio visited Yeongyang County and made mockery of local stores and infrastructure for their YouTube content. The trio lost more than 260,000 subscribers since the controversy.

“Though both store owners said that they do not have any damages as of now, we will continuously look after them if any damages occur, and do our best to help them,” the trio said in an official apology on May 19.

The controversial video is blocked as of Wednesday.

"Even though it is a comedy show, I believe it was inappropriate to cover broadcast content that belittles or mocks a particular region," governor Oh Do-chang of Yeongyang County said on May 20 on SBS radio.
