2NE1 to kick off 15th anniversary world tour at Seoul's Olympic Hall

Veteran girl group 2NE1 will hold the first performances of its world tour to celebrate the 15th anniversary of its debut at Olympic Hall, Songpa District, southern Seoul, on Oct. 5 and 6.
 
The performance — titled "'Welcome Back' in Seoul" — will kick off 2NE1’s first world tour in more than 10 years since the girl group’s "All or Nothing" tour in 2014. The name of the world tour is not specified as of Thursday morning.

“Given that this year marks 2NE1’s 15th debut anniversary and that a dramatic reunion with the girl group has taken place, we wanted to start its performances within this year,” 2NE1’s agency YG Entertainment said Thursday in a press release.  
 
The members wanted to start the world tour in Seoul, although the concert venues in Kobe and Tokyo, Japan, were booked first, according to the agency.
 
“The larger venues were already fully booked and it was very fortunate that we were able to secure the Olympic Hall,” said YG Entertainment.
 
The performances in Kobe and Tokyo are scheduled for late November and early December, respectively. The specific dates of the performances in Japan were not disclosed as of Thursday morning.  
 
Tickets for the Seoul concert of the “Welcome Back” tour can be purchased on Interpark starting Aug. 5 at 8 p.m.
 
Since its debut with the single “Fire” in 2009, 2NE1 has released numerous hits such as "I Don't Care" (2010), “I Am the Best” (2011), "Lonely" (2011), "I Love You" (2012), "Missing You" (2013) and “Come Back Home” (2014), earning widespread acclaim.
