Jeon Do-yeon cast as lead in ‘The Good Wife’Award-winning actress Jeon Do-yeon, who has been more active on the big screen lately, is making a return to television after a decade-long absence.
Jeon’s agency announced yesterday that she has been cast for the tvN drama “The Good Wife.”
Her last drama was “Lovers in Prague” (2005) on SBS.
A legal and political drama, “The Good Wife” is a remake of a U.S. TV series of the same title.
The actress will be playing Hye-kyung, a housewife who, due to her husband’s incarceration for sex and political scandals, returns to her old job as a litigator 15 years after she ceased working.
Speaking on her new role, Jeon said, “I always wanted to widen my array of choices. It’s been almost 10 years since the last time I was part of a drama. I am excited and a bit anxious at the same time,”
“The Good Wife” is scheduled to start airing at the end of June.
