Marsalis, Jessie J added to jazz fest lineup

Branford Marsalis, Jessie J, Epik High and Lee Hi - they’re among the names headlining this year’s Seoul Jazz Festival.

Organizers on Thursday revealed a list of 13 more artists who will perform at the festival, which runs from May 19 to 20.

Along with Marsalis and Jessie J, international artists include saxophonist Maceo Parker, Duke Ellington and His Orchestra and hip-hop composer Loyle Carner.

Other Korean artists include singer-songwriter Heize and Richard Parkers.

Marsalis, considered one of the best jazz saxophonists alive, won three Grammys and has been nominated eight times.

Jessie J, for whom many Korean fans know through her collaboration “Bang Bang” with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, is coming to the country for the first time.

The concert will be held at Olympic Park in southern Seoul. Tickets are being sold on Interpark.
