Wanna One duo releases ‘Candle’

Former Wanna One members Lee Dae-hwi and Park Woo-jin wrote and released a surprise gift for their fans Tuesday evening, entitled “Candle.”

The song comes both as a celebration of Lee’s birthday - Jan. 29 - and a way for the two to thank their fans who have stuck with them through the year and a half they were in the 11-member act.

The song was written and produced by Lee, while Park added his rap to finalize the song.

“We know so well that we’re here now because of the fans,” said Lee and Park through a press release. “We know that we could never pay you back for everything, but I hope you know that your love isn’t just one-sided. We’re always thinking of you, and we love you so much.”

“Candle,” according to them, is a way for them to express that gratitude.

The track was released on music streaming services Tuesday evening.
