JTBC to air legal drama written by a judge

JTBC will premiere a new legal drama titled “Miss Hammurabi” in May, starring actors Go Ara, Sung Dong-il and singer-actor Kim Myung-soo, a member of the boy band Infinite, who is also known by his stage name L.

The channel revealed on Monday that Moon Yu-seok, the chief judge of Seoul Eastern District Court, wrote the script of the drama based on his novel of the same name published in 2016. Kwak Jung-hwan, who has produced several popular dramas such as tvN’s “The K2” (2016) and KBS2’s “Chuno” (2010), will direct the drama.

The drama revolves around three judges who have different perspectives - Go plays an idealistic judge, Kim plays an elite judge who prioritizes principles and Sung portrays the chief judge who understands the harsh realities of life.
