Fly to the Sky could reunite

The influential duo Fly to the Sky is reuniting for a new album, five years after they went their separate ways.

Local media is reporting that Hwang Yoon-seok, better known by his stage name Hwan-hee, and Brian Joo have been working together on new music that could start being released as early as next month.

The group made its debut in 1999 with the hit song “Day by Day,” under the management of SM Entertainment.

The group left SM in 2004 but continued recording, separating after their eighth regular album in 2009.

At the time, the two said the move did not mean the group was officially “breaking up,” just that they wanted to concentrate on developing their solo careers.

Hwan-hee just finished his mandatory military service in October.

Neither singer has confirmed that a Fly to the Sky album is on the way. However, an official at Hwan-hee’s agency reportedly said that the idea is being considered.
