Girl group Blackpink’s music video for its single “Kill This Love” (2019) surpassed 1.2 billion views on YouTube, according to YG Entertainment on Tuesday.

“Kill This Love” is Blackpink’s second music video to hit 1.2 billion views, following “Ddu-du Ddu-du“ (2018) but reaching the milestone 67 days faster. Blackpink became the only K-pop artist to have two music videos viewed over 1.2 billion times.

“Kill This Love” also ranked in 41st place on Billboard’s Hot 100 during its first week of release, the highest ranking achieved by a K-pop girl group at that time. It also broke the record for shortest time taken to hit 100 million views, taking just 38 hours.

Blackpink debuted in 2016 with its first single “Square One” and released hit tracks including “Playing with Fire” (2016), “As If It’s Your Last” (2017) and “Ice Cream” (2020) featuring American singer Selena Gomez.
