Actor Yeo Jin-goo to host Mnet’s audition program 'Girls Planet 999'

Actor Yeo Jin-goo will host Mnet’s upcoming K-pop girl group audition program “Girls Planet 999,” according to Mnet on Tuesday.

“Girls Planet 999” aims to form a multinational girl group and will feature 99 contestants from Korea, Japan and China; 33 girls from each country.

On the show, Yeo will hold the title of “Planet Master,” acting as the medium to connect fans around the globe dubbed “Planet Guardians” and the 99 contestants on “Girls Planet."

“As a K-pop fan, I’m happy and grateful to be a part of ‘Girls Planet 999,’” said Yeo. “I think of international fans as one big family connected via K-pop, and I will root for the 99 contestants’ dreams.”

The show will start airing in August.
