Sunmi’s label speaks out about slanderous comments against singer

Singer Sunmi’s label Abyss Company released an official statement Wednesday saying it will no longer tolerate those who make malicious comments about the artist.

“As we notified in August 2019, we took legal action against those who made malicious and slanderous comments about Sunmi and they were fined. However, we are continuing to see such comments accompanied by insults,” the statement said. “In order to protect the rights and interests of our artists, we will take strong legal action against anyone who infringes on our artists’ privacy.”

Sunmi expressed through her social media on Oct. 11 that she is suffering due to continuous comments that hurt her feelings.

The artist will be holding an online concert “Good girl gone mad” for the first time in two years on Oct. 30.
