Cha Eun-woo tests positive for Covid

Singer and actor Cha Eun-woo tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday, his agency Fantagio said.

“Cha Eun-woo wasn’t feeling well today so he underwent a rapid antigen test and it came out positive,” Fantagio said in a statement.

He has a slight fever and no other symptoms, but will be unable to partake in upcoming plans until his quarantine ends, the agency said.

Cha was in the middle of filming tvN’s upcoming television series “Island,” which is scheduled to premiere later this year.

Cha debuted in 2016 as a member of the six-member boy band Astro, known for the songs "Crazy Sexy Cool” (2017), “Blue Flame” (2019) and “One” (2021). Cha has appeared in JTBC’s “My ID is Gangnam Beauty” (2018), MBC’s “Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung” (2019) and tvN’s “True Beauty” (2020-21).
