Singer John Park announces wedding plans in social media post

Singer John Park will tie the knot with his non-celebrity girlfriend on June 12, according to MusicFarm on Friday.

“I met someone about a year ago, and she became a very supportive and precious person for me,” he told to his fans in a handwritten post on social media. “I decided to plan my future with that person, who taught me what happiness is. We are currently excitedly preparing for our wedding.”

Park thanked his fans for his 12-year-career so far.

“It feels like I just debuted a couple days ago, when I debuted as a clumsy 23-year-old,” he wrote. “It wouldn’t have been possible without the support and love from fans.”

Park rose to fame in 2010 when he appeared on Mnet’s “Superstar K2” audition show, in which he won second place.
