K-pop singer and former contestant on "Produce X 101" Oh Sae-bom revealed Monday that he is suffering from a type of blood cancer.
"I was diagnosed with malignant lymphoma, a type of blood cancer, in January this year," Oh wrote on his Instagram page.
He said that he had symptoms of tiredness and fever, "but I didn't think much about it because I thought it was just from working too much," Oh added.
"I've completed my second round of chemotherapy, and I'm not feeling too bad!" wrote Oh.
He ended the post by thanking his fans and assuring them that he will "fight cancer and get better soon."
Oh, 27, is best known for competing on the K-pop audition program "Produce X 101" in 2019. Though he did not rank high enough to debut in the program's project band X1, he debuted as a solo K-pop artist in December 2019 with the digital single titled "TIe." Since 2018, Oh has also been part of the five-member busking group MAXXAM.
