Girl group Twice announced it will drop a new EP on Aug. 26, only a day after confirming that it has renewed its contract with JYP Entertainment.

Titled "Between 1&2," the agency posted a teaser image of a pink light switch to Twice's social media channels.

The image features the phrase "Tell me what you want."

It has been nine months since Twice last dropped music, with its third full-length album "(Formula of Love) : O+T=〈3" (2021).

Twice debuted with the EP “The Story Begins” (2015) with the lead song “Like Ooh-Ahh.” The group became widely popular with the song “Cheer Up” (2016) and has since released hits like “TT” (2016), “Feel Special” (2019) and “Alcohol-Free” (2021). The group's members are Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu.

Nayeon became the first member of the group to launch her solo career with the EP "Im Nayeon" and its lead track "POP!" last month. On Sunday, the EP reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, the highest rank achieved by a solo K-pop artist on the chart.
