SM Town’s free online concert will be aired on New Year’s day. 
 
SM Entertainment announced Wednesday that it has prepared a free online concert “SMTown Live 2023: SMCU Palace @Kwangya!” for K-pop fans to welcome the new year with performances from SM stars.  
 
From 1 p.m. on New Year’s Day, the concert will be streamed via YouTube, Beyond Live, KNTV, TikTok, Instagram and many other outlets in Korea. Those in Indonesia can use Trans TV, InsertLive, RCTI+, Vision+, Vidio.com and WeTV. Viewers in Thailand can use TruelD, and for Vietnam, VieON, POPS and ZING MP3 are available. Overseas streaming will be available from 8 p.m.
 
K-pop acts including Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Taeyeon and Hyoyeon of Girls’ Generation, Onew, Key and Minho of SHINee, Suho, Xiumin, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai and Sehun of Exo, Red Velvet, NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, aespa and GOT the Beat will perform.  
 
The opening performance will be “The Cure,” a campaign song by SM Town that encourages fans to embrace a “sustainable future.” Other songs from the “2022 Winter SM Town: SMCU Palace” album like “Hot&Cold,” “Happier,” “Time After Time” and “Priority” will also be performed.  
 
Prior to the concert, SM Entertainment will hold the “SM Sustainability Forum” from noon to discuss humanity and sustainability with experts from different fields.
