ITZY sold over a million copies of its latest EP “Cheshire” (2022), giving the girl group its second million-seller hit album.
“Cheshire" sold over 630,000 copies in the first week after its release on Nov. 30, and became ITZY’s best-selling album by far.
ITZY's fifth EP "Checkmate" (2022), also sold over a million copies, making the group the only fourth-generation K-pop girl group to have more than one album sell over a million copies.
Fourth-generation girl groups typically refer to those that debuted in or after 2019.
ITZY is planning a second fan meet-and-greet, “ITZY the 2nd Fan Meeting ITZY MIDZY Let’s fly ‘To Wonder World.’” MIDZY is the name of the group's fan club.
The girl group is also planning to continue its first world tour “ITZY THE 1ST WORLD TOUR 〈CHECKMATE〉” in Manila, the Philippines, on Jan. 14 and 15, with upcoming destinations including Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Taiwan and Bangkok.
